Mariano's World: The Life and Art of Mariano Rodriguez
Attended a presentation by Carmina Rodriguez Villa, author of Mariano's World, at Brescia University's Taylor Lecture Hall on Thursday, September 17, at 7:00 pm. Ms. Rodriguez Villa was born in Cuba and grew up during the time of the Fidel Castro-led revolution and the establishment of a communist state in Cuba. This program is part of Brescia University's "Return to the Arch" Alumni Speaker Series and is co-sponsored by OAWAC and Brescia University.

Cumberlands Name Students to High Honor Roll during Honors Day
University of the Cumberlands named students to the High Honor Roll during the 56th annual Honors Day program. These students have attained a minimum of 3.85 cumulative standing. Since UC only offers one undergraduate commencement ceremony, this list includes those students who finished their degree in December as well as those who will graduate in the May event.

UC's BCM Serves Beach Reach in Panama City
University of the Cumberlands' (UC) Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM) sent four teams out for their annual spring break mission trips across the east coast. BCM sent 11 people, including UC's campus minister Dean Whitaker, to Panama City Beach, Florida for a week to provide free shuttle rides and free pancake breakfasts to beachgoers.

Cumberlands' Tau Epsilon Alpha Conducts Food Drive in Time for the Holidays
University of the Cumberlands' (UC) Human Services Department's honor society, Tau Epsilon Alpha, recently conducted a canned food drive. They collected and donated 610 cans to Cedar Ridge Ministries.
